The journey to the temple is a challenging but spiritually rewarding trek that offers sweeping views of the mighty Kanchenjunga and Kumbhakarna Himalayan ranges.

History & Significance

Pathivara Devi is a powerful goddess believed to be a wish-fulfilling deity. Pilgrims, both Hindu and Buddhist, visit the temple with the belief that their wishes will be granted. Legend says that a shepherd lost his sheep in the jungle and had a dream where the goddess instructed him to perform a ritual sacrifice. When he did, his flock returned, and the temple was established in her honor.
